Dan Floberg '61

Dan Floberg '61Dan Floberg, Class of 1961, was a three sport athlete playing basketball, baseball and golf.  For two years he was a starter on the baseball team, winning the Southern Lakes Conference his senior year. Floberg was offered a baseball try-out in the summer 1959 with the Cleveland Indians. He was also a three-sport starter on the basketball team and was a two time selection to the Southern Lakes Conference All-Conference team during his junior and senior years.

Both years, he led the conference in scoring and rebounding, and led Badger High School to the conference championship. The Badgers finished that year ranked 4th in the state. At the time, Floberg was considered by many to be the best athlete to ever come out of the local high school.  

He was offered a full scholarship for basketball by Michigan State University where he played from 1961-64, graduating with a Business Degree.  Floberg currently resides in Arlington, Texas.

Inducted into the Badger Athletic Wall of Fame in 2015.
