Bill Germann '63

Bill Germann '63Bill Germann, Class of 1963, was a 4 year letter winner in baseball, a 3 year letter winner in football, a 2 year letter winner in wrestling, and earned one letter while participating in basketball. He earned a total of 10 varsity letters during his Badger High School career. While playing football at Badger, Bill was named to the All-Conference team 3 years and was named the Conference Player of the Year after senior campaign. He led the team in tackles and was also selected to the All-State football team. Bill was also a standout in baseball at Badger. He was a 4 year starter and was selected as the team captain his final year. His senior year, he was selected by the entire Badger coaching staff as the outstanding athlete, thus earning him the American Legion Award for the best athlete. After graduation, Bill attended Winona State University in Minnesota and competed in both football and baseball. He was a 3 year starter in baseball and a 4 year starter on the football team. During his freshmen year, he caught the touchdown pass that won Winona State University the NCAA National Championship over Michigan Tech. This was his first of 2 National Championship's he won while attending Winona State University. As of 2006, Bill resides in Big Fork, Montana.

Inducted into the Badger Athletic Wall of Fame in 2006.
