Gary Ruch '82
Gary Ruch, Class of 1982, was a three-sport standout in football, basketball and baseball, earning eight varsity letters during his Badger High School career. He was a two-time letterwinner in football and a three-time letterwinner in baseball. Gary was named to the second team All-Conference baseball squad his senior year. Basketball was where Gary truly made a name for himself in Southeastern Wisconsin. He was a member of the 1982 State Tournament basketball team and was selected to play in the State All-Star Game during his senior campaign. Gary was a three-time letterwinner in basketball at Badger and was named to the Southern Lakes All-Conference team during his sophomore, junior and senior years. During his senior year, he was selected as the Conference Player of the Year and still remains one of the top career point leaders in Badger basketball history. Gary went on to play college basketball at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Inducted into the Badger Athletic Wall of Fame in 2002.


He was named Outstanding Senior Athlete during his final year.
