Prom 2024

Prom Attendees and Guardians:

Junior prom is just around the corner! We would like to take this opportunity to talk about some changes to this year’s prom.  This year’s prom, “A Night of a Thousand Lights,” will be held at Grand Geneva Resort on Saturday, May 18, 2024. Prior to the dance, we will host a grand march and crown the prom king and queen in the Badger High School auditorium for parents, friends, and family. Students will be required to ride a bus from Badger to the Grand Geneva. This is a parking and safety precaution; therefore, students will not be permitted to drive themselves to Grand Geneva. Students must park their vehicles in the student lot by district office. Check-in, for prom attendees, will begin at 5:30 at Badger. The grand march will begin at 5:45; you must be checked in at Badger by 6:00. A formal dinner and dance will take place in the Forum at Grand Geneva from 7:00-11:00. Bus transportation back to Badger will be provided starting at 9:30 p.m.

Prom tickets will be sold the week of April 29th. The cost of each ticket is $75 per person. The adjusted cost of a ticket is reflective of pricing increases in almost every aspect of the event. Students and guests from other schools must submit a signed permission slip in order to purchase a ticket(s). Tickets will only be sold to Badger junior and senior students. Guests from other schools are welcome if they are at least a junior, but not more than one year post high school (cannot exceed 19 years of age).  Sophomores will be permitted to attend prom as a guest of a junior or senior. Freshmen are not permitted to attend. No exceptions will be made. This is a special event, and in some sense, a right of passage for our upperclassmen.

Students are able to select the table where they will eat dinner. If they would like to sit with friends, they are encouraged to purchase tickets at the same time. This takes coordination as seats will not be held/reserved. There are ten seats at each table.

Finally, students’ safety is our number one priority; administration and police personnel will be on site to provide security and administer random breathalyzer tests to students upon their arrival at Badger High School and/or The Grand Geneva. Please take a moment to speak with your students about the dangers of underage drinking and the importance of appropriate behavior at this formal event. If you have any questions about prom, please contact one of the junior class advisors listed below.

Thank you!
