The National Honor Society (NHS) announced that Ellie White, a high school senior at Badger High School and member of NHS, has been selected as an NHS Scholarship semifinalist and earned a $3200 scholarship.

In the 100+ years since NHS was founded members have been making a difference in their schools and communities, and the NHS Scholarship is NASSP’s way of recognizing the most exceptional of these student leaders. Ellie was chosen based on her work to support the four pillars of NHS: scholarship, service, leadership, and character.

At Badger High School, Ellie has been an active and competing member of DECA for four years and served as a leader managing the school store and was Vice-President of Finance her sophomore and junior years. She has participated on the golf team, French Club, National Honors Society, and the Economics Competition Team. She has served the Lake Geneva Community Garden, Lake Geneva Service Animal Non Profit, Kisses from Keegan (Junior Board Member), Vacation Bible School, and Golden Years Retirement Home as well as the Alzheimer’s Association and Make a Wish Foundation. Ellie also most recently won the Chick Evans Scholarship and plans on attending Notre Dame to study Economics.
