Steve Gerber, Class of 1972, participated in football, basketball, baseball and track during his career at Badger High School.
He opened his senior campaign by being named the Southern Lakes Conference Most Valuable Player in football. He was also named Co-Captain that year and selected as a First Team All-Conference Tight End and Linebacker.
Moving to the hard wood, Steve was a key member of the 1971 Southern Lakes Conference Champion Basketball team. He was awarded two varsity letters in basketball during his Badger career.
His success followed him to the diamond, where he was named to the Southern Lakes All-Conference team at first base and also as a pitcher, along with being the team Co-Captain. Steve earned three varsity letters as a member of the Badger baseball squad.
During his final year, he was awarded the Badger Outstanding Senior Athlete Award. Steve continued his success while attending UW-Whitewater where he was a four-time letterwinner in both football and baseball. In 2000, he was inducted to the UW-Whitewater Athletic Hall of Fame.
Inducted into the Badger Athletic Wall of Fame in 2001.
