Matt Hensler of Badger High School in Lake Geneva, Wis., has been named the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association (WFCA)/Green Bay Packers High School Coach of the Year.

Saturday, December 2, 2023, marks an early sighting of Santa Claus in the Badger High School Commons. The Music Department fundraiser runs from 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. From 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., dozens of vendors will be set up at Badger again this year for the Annual Badger DECA Holiday Craft and Vendor Fair.

The Badger High School Football Team is heading to Madison to play for the WIAA Division 2 State Championship this Friday, November 17, 2023! The Badgers, 13-0 on the season, will face Waunakee. The Badger High School Football Team is heading to Madison to play for the WIAA Division 2 State Championship this Friday, November 17, 2023! To support the team, there will be no school for students and staff on Friday, November 17, 2023, for the Lake Geneva-Genoa City Union (Badger) High School District and the Lake Geneva Joint #1 School District.

On Friday, November 17, 2023, the Northern Illinois University (NIU) Jazz Ensemble will perform at Badger High School, featuring Special Guest Artist and Tony Award winner Bryan Carter. The concert, which begins at 7 p.m., will feature NIU, Badger, and Delavan-Darien Jazz Ensemble performances.

Badger High School Student Council is excited to announce that the rained-out Homecoming Fireworks have been rescheduled for this Friday, October 20, 2023. Come pack the stands and cheer on the Badger Football Team as they take on Elkhorn High School in the first round of the WIAA Division 2 Playoffs. The game begins at 7:00 p.m., and admission is $6 per person at the gate. Immediately following the football game, stay and enjoy the fireworks! Go Badger!

The first parent-teacher conferences will take place on Wednesday, October 18, from 4:00 p.m. - to 7:00 p.m. in our PE center. Please be prepared with a copy of your student's schedule or a list of teachers you would like to visit. No appointments are necessary. You may visit one or all of your student's teachers. Please try to limit your conference to 5-6 minutes to allow time for all parents and students.

Badger High School Senior Maire (MJ) Lucero has been named a "Commended Student" in the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Senior students will meet with a representative from Jostens to discuss senior orders on October 16 during their 2nd-period class. Seniors should be bringing home a packet of information regarding graduation items. The Jostens representative will return during lunch periods on Tuesday, October 24, and Wednesday, October 25. The representative will also be here on Tuesday, October 24 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in our main lobby for parents who may have questions or would like to personally bring in the senior order with their student.

Students at Badger High School earned academic honors from the College Board National Recognition Programs. These programs celebrate students' hard work in high school and showcase their strong academic performance. The academic honors for rural area, Black, Indigenous, and/or Latino students are an opportunity for students to share their strong academic achievements with colleges and scholarship programs that are seeking to recruit diverse talent.

The 2023 FCCLA National Leadership Conference (NLC) took place in Denver, CO, from July 2-6, drawing more than 7,900 students, educators, and guests from across the nation. This gathering provided a valuable platform for attendees to expand their leadership skills, sharpen their talents, explore career pathways, and listen to inspiring speakers.

The start of school is right around the corner. Badger staff are excited for what the 23-24 school year will bring. There are a number of important items and events you need to know of to help the transition into the school year.

On Friday, October 6th it was Agriscience Day at Badger High School which was an amazing opportunity for everyone who came out! The 3rd graders from Central-Denison, Star Center, Randall, Traver, Brookwood, and Woods Schools got to learn about Soil, Veterinary Science, Greenhouse Plant Science, Beekeeping, and Aquaculture. The students got messy, learned hands on, and got to experience an awesome day!
