Family, Career and Community Leaders of America is a dynamic and effective national student organization. FCCLA helps young men and women become leaders and address important personal, family, work and societal issues through family and consumer sciences education. Student members may compete in various STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition) events such as hospitality, culinary arts, baking and pastry, food garnish and presentation, fashion and housing displays, child care, and entrepreneurship to name a few. Students participate in state and national meetings with other student members from around the country.
